Fantastic work from Poland

Greenworld Our Polish eTwinning partners have created some wonderful slideshows about their towns and what we can do to help the environment. They can be found on our eTwinning Wiki "How green is your world".

9A continue their eTwinning work

Greeworld_scr shot  9A worked very hard at the end of term to finish their eTwinning work on the environment. For this task they had to make presentations about what we can do in Stockton to recycle or make adverts to promote being environmentally friendly.

You can see there work on Stockton here : How green is your town?

...and their adverts here: Our adverts about the environment

Das Hokey Kokey

I've come across this wonderful video of Bill Bailey doing the Hokey Cokey in German.  It's very funnt but maybe some of you will have to ask some older people (like me, maybe!) why it's funny.  It's also really good for learning some parts of the body...

Viel Spass!

Spanish Mike

Maybe some of you have seen Spanish Mike in your Spanish lessons before.

He sang the wonderful "One Semester of Spanish, Spanish Love Song", a love song made up of all the kind of phrases you learn when you're just starting out learning a language but sang in such a way that it doesn't seem like all of that basic stuff.  Incase you haven't see it, it's just below...and below that is his all new "Second Semester of Spanish, Spanish Love Song" similar to the first but with a guest "star".

They make me and Mrs. Joyce laugh, I hope you enjoy them too!

...and here is the "Second Semester of Spanish, Spanish Love Song"...

What are Diigo Tags?

MFLpupilsdiigoSome of you might notice that there is a new section in the left-hand sidebar called "Useful Links".  This is where I am building up a bank of lanuage learning websites that I think will be useful for you.  It's really easy to use, click on a topic that you are interested in, for example GCSE and it will take you to a page that has links to any useful websites that I've found that I think would be particularly useful for those of you doing GCSE.  Similarly I do that same for all year groups and languages.

This list is changing all the time and being added to as well.

If you want to know more, I'm using a "Social Bookmarking" site called Diigo, where I've created a group for Ian Ramsey MFL Pupils.  It's a really handy way of sharing websites that I find useful with you and others.

I hope that you find it useful.

How green is your school?

9A have been doing some more work on our eTwinning project with France, Poland, Italy, Turkey and Romania.  They have made videos and slideshows about how environmentally friendly Ian Ramsey is.

You can also find out about the other schools and how "green" they are by following this link:

How green is your school?

They'd love to know what you think so you can leave a message on the discussion page!

MFL ICT Club

Just a reminder to anyone who maybe interested.  I am re-launching the MFL ICT club on Monday lunchtimes from 12.45 - 1.15.  It's an opportunity to come and be creative with the Languages you are learning whilst also using some new ICT skills.  You'll also have your work published online either here or on the Langwitch Wiki

If you want to come along just come to me in Room 20 to get an early lunch pass some time before Monday lunchtime.

I look forward to seeing you there.
